Has it been three weeks, already, since the launch of HBC?! Time flies when you're preparing for a pageant! :) Anyway, today's WOW will feature the workout routine I partook in last night, with celebrity fitness trainer, and official Miss Maryland USA/Teen USA sponsor, Mike Brooks! We focused on legs, but this time, with plenty of room and some equipment.
Walking lunges (down a hallway and back)
Reverse lunges (using half balance ball against a wall)
Frog jumps
Resistance band walking squats (stepping sideways into squat)
The above exercises were done in sets of 3, each. We then used an inner leg weight machine and finished up by completing 30 minutes of cardio (treadmill)! Boy am I feeling the effects today, but it shows that I am getting there! I am so excited to continue training, not only in preparation for the Miss Teen USA stage, but for a healthy and fit lifestyle, in general! Always remember to stretch and drink plenty of water before, during, and after any kind of physical activity! Also, listen to your body! Only do as much as you can handle!
